Miscanthus s. 'Hinja' is the shortest miscanthus I grow with plumes topping
out at only 3'. The leaves are banded with 3" bands of yellow alternating
with green. I've had it for 3 or 4 years, and it is my impression that it
was certainly not a bigger clump last spring and might have been a bit
smaller. I don't know why. 'Blondo' is a majestic 9' tall, plain green
leaves, golden blonde plumes in the fall. This one does grow vigorously,
but like other miscanthus, it is clump-forming. (Not rhizomatous)
