We all look forward to hearing about you and your garden.

Thank you for welcoming us to the Shade Garden List. From the short time
we have been on we were pleased to see that it seems to be an active
list. Our gardens are located in zone 5 in Southwestern Lower Michigan,
on 3.8 acres of heavily wooded east facing hillside with a stream running
along two sides. We have approximately 6000 sf in gardens. Quite frankly
we had always been sunny perennial gardeners until moving to Michigan ten
years ago and buying this property.So we are relatively new at shade
gardening. Our primary interests are in epimediums, pulmonarias, and
large bold hostas, which we use as background plantings. We have been
trying to grow arisaema with not much success the last few seasons. Other
shade perennial's seem to find a way into our gardens also. By profession
we run a medium size family owned property maintenance company.
Hopefully this will give everyone an idea of who we are. Thanks again.
