Thanks to you and RL for the info about the winterburn problems of
Mahonia.  I will ask  the CBG what cultivars are being used there.

I live about 40 miles NW of Chicago in Lake County (Long Grove).  I am
pretty sure I am Zone 4, and if anyone would give me more definitive
information, it would help.
