I believe , no doubt thet in a sheltered area you could grow it .
Trouble is that even here , in zone 6, it browns over much of each plant
each winter. The leaves are spiny, and do not fall off very readly, so
in most cases , it will take most of the summer for the plant to look
good again. You might be better to find a good "Blue Holly" to grow in
your area. We have those growing on the hills here in zone four
condtions
