Re: [SG] New Member/ now Arisaema

Hello Wayne,
I noticed the last paragraph or so of your message referred to Arisaema
and your not having much luck with them. Which species have you tried thus
far? Can you describe the problems - other than they died...? This is a
pretty large genus with many strange and fascinating species to collect. I
have been a bit of a collector for some years now and can not imagine a
shade garden without them. Some of these are truly exotic looking with
spathes shaped like cobras staring you in the eye ready to strike, long
whip-lash spandix snaking out to weave through the foliage and down on to
the ground. Different colors and sizes of blooms and foliage as well as
stems. I have one that has a stem that looks like a python standing on
end.... bloom is green and white stripes with a bluish frosting on its
bottom.
