Hello Betty,
        Yes, the Lobelias will love the extra moisture and perform much better
there than in ordinary garden soil. In fact, I would guess you will have
lots of seedlings next year if you allow them to bloom and go to seed. Seed
resembles reddish colored dust without a magnifying glass of some kind.
        I don't believe I mentioned this in my last message, but the P. sieboldii
need to have a light organic mulch each fall. They have a tendency to grow
themselves up out of the ground exposing the roots.
