Day Lily

Hi Pottsey,

Well, I wonder how many might answer this questions for you, but as
daylily (one word) grower, I thought I better at least have a go at
it!

What did you do with them? What were they- species old fulva, or
lemon lily, that you could throw on the compost pile or over the
fence (as so many in the past did, only to see them surviving and
growing?) or newer hybrids?

If you took care of them somehow- like in cold frame with peat over,
or dug them in someplace you might have good luck. Large wholesale
companies, put roots into refrigeration for the holding over season,
so something similar to those conditions might also work....

But guess that the best bet would be to try- in a holding area or out
of the way place and see what happens!

Daylilies BTW do best in some sun, with good watering and
fertilization program to do their best!

This is a good example, BTW of we who want to help, needing more
information than what is posted...zone is good, other conditions are
even better (said with sincerity)

Bobbie in Ma, zone 6.5
