Re: News of a troubling nature

Hello Connie,
Boy! This one has been all over the various ListServs..... big news indeed,
for all us plant lovers.
Not hard to understand, though. Our biggest task here is to stay at a certain
size. Always pressure to expand to meet more demands. While the nursery and
gardens are a way of life here for us, we are doing our best to not let them
control us and our lives. That is not as easy as it sounds.
I have had one of the "biggies" here this summer wanting to link up, so they
could "help" us make more sales. Not an offer of an outright sale to them... just
skim off the cream of the crop here to their site. We said thank you, but no thank
you.
Thank you for your good wishes. My guess is it will be some time before you
see much in the way of changes at Hwood... if they are smart. Who knows? Perhaps
things will even get better for you in the way of rare plants offered?
