Re: Sweet potato vine pests

Hi Diann,
seems this (certain)bug subject comes up once or twice a season ..
It comforts me to know that someone has it besides me..(most folks including the
'experts'just shrug it off as they dont know what I'm talking about.)

The really fascinating thing is that it seems only to be attracted to the
Ipomoea family
i.e.your Sweet P.vine, here it goes for the bindweed which of course is same
family. So in a way it has befriended me as it bothers no other plants (so
far)over the several years it has been in the area.

Gosh, wish it would kill off the miserable stuff (and then of course just leave
the yard:)
Its proably one of the prettiest insect I have ever seen..Some of pure gold some
with mother of pearl over gold...Same shape and size as lady bugs here so these
seems to be larger than yours, perhaps yours are still immature.?I will keep an
eye out for them on my S.potato vines thanks for letting us know this.
