Taking something back without cause reminds me of the business trip I took
along with my son and two of his college friends during spring break. They
showed up at my work place with a tv from Target to watch something, as they
had to be there as my son was working for me so many hours a day, then
proceeded to pack the tv back in its box. When I inquired what's going on, I
was told they were returning the set to Target now that they had viewed
whatever they "had" to watch. Target has a very liberal return policy I was
told and would take the set back without question. Wrong! I refused to
allow this to take place, and #1 son had to spend his earned money to pay for
the set. The other boys somehow forgot to reimburse #1 once they were back
at school. I'm pleased he now recalls this incident as a lesson well learned
-- good practices work both ways.
