Well! Hearing all this about cimicifugas is very distressing to me! I bought 3 this year - first time ever. For whatever reason I had them pegged as fancy "weeds" but needed something that would give me height, contrast, and tolerate some shade. Sounds like I screwed up. So far, they are doing no better or worse than when planted about 2 months ago - but they ARE alive. I guess I'll wait and see. I have no patience with tempermental plants which is why I get along with hosta, daylilies, and iris.

> Hi--I have a three year old cimicifuga 'Hillside Black Beauty' that seems to be slowly dying. Over the last 4-5 weeks, the leaves have curled up and then died. This happens one stem at a time. There are no spots, the plants have plenty of water, there is no sign of insect activity. Any comments would be appreciated.
