Hello Nancy,
My "cold frames" are two railroad ties laid four feet apart with landscape mat
for a floor under a shade tree. Well, actually I have several that are about 50
feet long. Point being, it does not have to be something fancy. Just someplace
where they can ride with the weather.. warm -cold -warm... and keep the critters
out. Sow your seeds now while they are fresh and have not dried out. you can bring
them back in later in the winter to place under light if you prefer.
