Some years ago I put in a beautiful line of hostas around two sides of a
shade bed under an ash tree and they have done so well that they are
starting to crowd each other. It is better to let them continue
overlapping, divide individual plants and replant a small piece of each,
or remove every other large one in between so the line remains large
looking?
