Hi all,
Marge is probably right; there is no real need to change the list name. I suggest that just a little maintenance is needed -- a couple people who will "seed" the discussions when they lag.
I have a shade related question: Will Hosta grow well under a black walnut tree? I have two or three black walnuts and a hickory, under which I'm thinking of setting up some shady plant beds, mainly Hosta. Daylilies grow fine under black walnuts, by the way.
Regards, Jim Shields

Personally, I don't think we should change the list name. There are quite a few general gardening lists out there. "Shade" doesn't restrict us to type of plant, just conditions.

---------- > From: Bob <bobaxe@SBTEK.NET> Hi Claire and everyone I see the listserv has been updated some with a simple and not so user friendly user interface. I didn't see any way to change the name of the list itself. I would have to take a vote to see if the majority would want it changed anyway before I would try to find out and then I couldn't guarantee it. I would write to the administrator to see their thoughts on this. There also could be a list already with the suggested topic. Bye Bob
