I have always thought that the shade list would be more useful if it
allowed pictures but I don't think St Johns allows them. More and more
incredible shade tolerant plants are available each year but the
planting information isn't always consistent or even available.
I bought three gunnera this spring and they finally showed up, a tad
dehydrated, but I planted them anyway on the perimeter of a bog garden I
am making. They finally came up a week ago and look like they will take
off. Any suggestions from anyone and getting them to develop to giant
size real fast? What is the furthest north they can be left to winter
over themselves?
