I agree with you so I am taking the remove the leaves. and put the rose stuff
under the mulch. If you continue to remove all your hostas that show
nematodes you will end up with no hostas though.
One other thing is to make sure that your hostas are not stressed and always
remove all the leaves in the fall and place them in the trash not the compost.
We have a little pair of caroling wrens who have built two nests in our
garage. The first clutch failed as we did not notice they were in there and I am
afraid I may have closed the garage door and left her out one night. The other
nest, we will have to see, they are diligent and the little boy is so
attentive, they are such lovely birds and such benefits to the environment. If this
clutch fails I am going to be sad, not only because the babies did not make it
but also because we have had to leave our garage door open for the last
several weeks. So far so good!
