Mahonia bealii

Does anyone know how to grow this from seed? The berries of mine have
ripened and seeds are falling on the ground--virtually daring me to do
something productive. I assume the seeds would need to be stratified, which
is easy for me to do since I can put them in an unheated garage.

Or, given how slowly these plants grow, am I just wasting my time?
