Thanks for the information about "Janet" . That is definately something
good to know. The one that is showing variegation now is heavily
variegated. In fact, it is almost what geranium folks call "ghost" . A
few leaves have a few streaks of green in them but it is almost totally
white.

Hi Forrest,

Hmmm thanks for the warning about "Gold Standard" . I haven't
experienced that but it is good to keep an eye out for those revertions.
I see it in the scented geraniums that I raise but didn't realize it
happens very often with Hostas also.

Thanks again. I am a little suspicious of things that don't look like
they are supposed to ( I run into mislabeling even in reputable places
sometimes) but then I had heard that some plants don't get full color
until atleast the 2nd year. I don't expect that from 'Emerald Tiara' but
I didn't know.

Wow!!!! That certainly beats the Walmarts around here. Did the Muscatine
Walmart get their plants locally from that one nursery that I hear about
in that area? I sure would have liked to see large "Great Expectation"
plants around here. I bought one from Linden Terrace that the Slugs did
in (fortunately I had credit from there because I provided Peggy with a
few Scented Geranium plants) and then got a nice small plant from Bob
Axmear for a real reasonable price. It is doing well in a pot and I have
gotton the slugs under control.. working on voles now <sigh>.

I am not aware that we have ever met. I have been in the area since the
Fall of '87 but I move here from just down the road in Iowa City. I have
run across someone that says they think they know you from Alcoa......
Maybe we can meet someday. Have you ever been to Freeman's? I hope to go
out there and see what they have someday soon. I've been to Hornbaker's
and was pretty impressed with what they had.
