[SG] Blue Hosta

Carmel:

    I can't offer any better choices of blue hosta than already have
been mentioned but I can say that you have not been mislead by plant
cataloges. Blue is the hardest color to reproduce in printing and often
the color of the photos do not anywhere represent the true color of the
blossom (or leaves). The color is lost in the printing process.


    I have two "blue" hosta, Elegans and the some what blue Krossa
Regal. Problem is how do you define blue. When you mention seersucker
blue I cannot help but think of the poor southern businessmen in those
crinkled up suits with carolina blue stripes (lived there for 18 years).
Haven't seen any hosta with crinkled leaves and carlonia blue and white
stripes (but if anyone has one let me know).

    Hope you find a hosta that fits your garden.
