Hi Jennifer:

I can only speak from experience. I have found that caladiums and coleuses do
well in dry shade, but these arent "flowers";yet, a good sub for such! Also,
the oriental lilies like dry feet so to speak. Phlox divaricata does well in
dry shade as do some of the "true" geraniums.

For sun, zinnias do well in dry conditions. Heliopsis vars. also.

Best and "coolest" flowering plants for dry shade are=the euphorbias, the
oxalises, and the cimicifugas.
