Re: [SG] Questions about caladiums and oxalis

Helen: I'd dig up the oxalis bulbs and bring them inside. They're not
supposed to be hardy in zone 5. There's a rule-breaker for everything,
however. My daughter in Madison, Wis., leaves her gladioli bulbs in the
ground over winter while I dig mine (I'm a couple hundred miles south of
her). I've never had a glad bulb survive winter in the ground while she
does. You could experiment with the oxalis, throwing a few bulbs to the
wolves, so to speak, and see if they'll overwinter outdoors.
