Re: [SG] Culver's Root

While we are on the subject of Culver's Root, I have a question.

The other day when I stopped at a local nursery and found a plant
labeled Veronicastrum virginicum 'Album' which I would have
expected to have white blossoms if it hadn't been in bloom in a
wonderful shade of dark sky blue. I have both the pink and white
forms in my garden, but have never seen one in blue before. Does
anyone know anything about this cultivar or any other form in
blue? The plant itself looked like V. virginicum except for the
flowers - does anyone have any suggestions for a plant that could
have been mis-identified as V. virginicum? At any rate, tomorrow,
one will be coming home with me - I can resist anything but
temptation.

TIA,
John
