dig parts of clumps to pot for sales in the spring. New crowns will form
from the broken roots and it will come up again. Nice for the nursery
person (me :)), but maybe not for the person who wants to change the
location of the clump.
I first saw Veronicastrum virginicum at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
It was growing in a little clearing. I presume that it was in shade part
of the day. I was given the pink form, but I think it is not very pink at
all. Is that how those of you who grow it would describe it? Not very pink?
I do not see my plants spreading from underground runners, and I've grown
it for several years.
