Donna and Vicki,
I don't know if anyone has answered your questions about clematis in the
shade, but one that is recommended for shade and does very well is C. "Silver
Moon".
I went to Saguaro Nurseries as someone recommended and it was fantastic.
They had a nice clematis collection. I bought c. davidii, and C. montana. I
thought montana was supposed to have very fragrant flowers, but when mine
bloomed it didn't have any scent that I could smell. Anyone know about C.
montana?
