Claire, Bobbie and all - I'm trying an "experiment" with my daylilies
this year that a friend suggested. Right after my stella d'oro and
happy returns bloomed I cut the plants to the ground... my friend
mows hers - and she swears that in about 10 days there will be all
new growth, not as large and unruly as the first flush, will rebloom
and stay lovely till frost. I sure hope so! If it works I will do
that on some other large clumps around here.
