Karen: Thanks for being honest and fessing up <g>. Life is like that. Deer
will do unexpected things, and eat unexpected things, from time to time. I
just heard that my favorite perennial nursery, out in the northeast corner
of Monroe County and in a very rural/wooded area, after years of virtually
no deer damage, was hit very hard a few weeks ago. They relied on DeerAway
and several large dogs to discourage the deer. Suddenly it didn't work. So
I suppose there are no guarantees about anything. Still, if we plant
things deer ordinarily don't like we improve our chances.
Thanks to all for your advice. I'm passing the info on to my friend.
