Claire & All,
It took me a whole day to see about half of Longwood.I was there in the
summer. I have heard that one should go in spring to see the azaleas and
rhododendrons in bloom.
As anyone been recently and viewed the hosta garden? This was created due to
the efforts of Warren Pollock. When I was there it was only a few years after
it had been planted. I'd like your impressions.
I remember one thing in particular that was in the guide book--the duPont
who had the garden created, did not care for variegated plants, but liked
water features very much. The fountains, etc. are the best outside Paris,
that I have seen in my (limited) travels.
