Gene, and all,
I have the C. Longwood Blue in my zone 6 garden...it is in a bed that
receives more sun than shade, but evenly enough that the branching
remains symetrical. It remains attractive throughout the winter (2
mild ones), and I prune it back to a framework in spring. It's a
strong grower and never unattractive.
