Re: A Willow Question
Hi Bobbi,
Here is the link to Wayside's info on this Salix. They price listed is
$55.00. Ouch !! But still better than in their Spring 1999 catalog which
lists it for $69.95.

SALIX integra 'Hakuro Nishiki' - A Wayside Introduction
Rare and Very Choice. This very pretty dwarf willow was brought to
Holland
from its native Japan by the renowned Dutch botanist Harry van de Laar
in
1979. Its colorful variegated leaves are showy all summer (a creamy
white-and-pink mottling), while its coral-orange stems are striking and
elegant. The small mounding shrubs display a natural semiweeping habit,
reaching 2 feet high and wide; ours are grown atop 2-foot standards,
ideal for containers or as sculptural accents, especially where space is
limited. Best in moist soils.
Specimen in 3-gallon container
Zones 4-8
