Anelle, you could try something like my husband built for our
muscadines. He used landscape timbers(could use more expensive 4x4) set
in the ground. They were set just so that another 6' landscape timber
sat on top and was drilled (put together by landscape nails) so that a
long row was made. It is covered by the muscadines now. It is very
shady under the semi-arbor and the fruit hangs down to be picked. The
birds like the shelter very much in the winter and summer. Two rows
could be put together about 3 feet apart with wire over the top for more
shade.
