I agree. As long as they are still looking healthy. The first year I
planted mine they just seemed to sit and do nothing. Apparently they
were busy little epimediums growing all sorts of lovely roots. The next
year they were great and this year have been magnificent.
I know there is an expression about some plant which is probably
appropriate.
" the first year they sleep
the second year they creep
the third year they leap."
Well, not exactly leaping but definitely doing better each year.
I also have to say that I have fallen in love with them. In fact the
year I bought them I had seen them at this great and very large garden
centre/nursery. They were planted in one of their display gardens and
caught my eye. I had to go search for someone who could actually
identify them, tell me what they were and where to find them.
