Re: My worst weeds were gifts from friends

Ohhhh yeah...violets...can't get rid of them! When I was desperate for free
"flowers" I dug up some lawn violets. They were soooo tiny and quaint!
They quadrupled or more in size in the garden. Every year, I dig out all I
can. The next year, I am rewarded with the same amount in return!

Anyone who knows how to deal with these, except to keep on what I'm doing?

One advantage, they do make good ground cover if you can't (or don't care
to) purchase enough ivy, pachasandra (sp?) or myrtle. And you absolutely
*never* have weeds coming up through the violets!
