Claire,
The most important bit of information that Bob Solberg shared with the group
at hosta college is that mosses are site specific. So you need to match the
moss that you are moving to a similar site, especially the surface. A moss
from a tree or a vertical rock surface will not grow on a flat surface. Bob
has his masters degree in moss, and is both interesting and humorous when
speaking on the subject.
