Devil's Arum

My Devil's Arum is really putting on a display this year. It is finally old
enough to have 4 bloom stalks. The blooms are monsters in size and the plant
about 3 1/2 feet tall with variegated leaves, so quite a show. Best(?) part
is the aroma from the blooms. Something like a skunk with very bad
breath...... Do not know why that thing so fascinates everyone. For about
three days you can not stand to be down wind of that plant, but all the
visitors to the garden complain, make jokes about the smell, and keep
walking around the arum.
    May be evil-looking, downright vulgar and smell, but it sure is a
conversation piece.......
