Bougainvilla wants sun and dry soil. I have one on my deck, where it gets
about 6, myabe 7 hours of sun a day. It does OK. I bring it in in the
winter and keep it in a south window next to the fig tree and it bloomed in
February.
Blooms on new growth, so cut it back pretty hard in early spring.
Karen. [mine's going to bloom in a week or so -- whenever it warms up again]
