Hi Cyan
I use plenty of compost when I plant plants and add more to them by
mulching with it in later years. I then give them a mild feeding of
Miracle Grow about every ten days by spraying, less if it is hot and dry
and more if it is rainy. I did a test once using compost and not using
it side by side and the plants grew almost twice as fast and had a very
noticable darker green color and more flowers.
