Hi all
Replying here about the cimicifuga. I bought one several years ago
and planted it next to a dark leaved tree to show up the contrast.
It does. And is in poor, sandy soil and has always done just fine.
Never weakens or droops. Of course it would probably do better in
moist soil.....
Then, I bought several C ramosa, same name as on the tag of the first
plant (which has the candles) wholesale from someone who legally digs
in the wild and propogates. The foliage does look similar and had
nice healthy clumps which got planted in very moist soil near a brook.
...but
Blooms are airy, kinda like a froth. no candles. Do I have the
right plant? These are from New England.
Wasted space, can't sell (planted 50) etc. Could this be a kind of C
or is it maybe another missnamed wild flower, like, Aruncus?
I hate to get rid of it as the foliage is very nice, but also do not
like to sell something that I do not know that I am unsure of
any help out there?
