Hi, Tim. It is a North American native, hardy to Zone 7, and looks similar
to a Jack-in-the-Pulpit, except the spathe is erect, rather than assuming
the hooded form, and is pink and white striped. It has a three-lobed leaf
(maybe more than one leaf; my plant is young, so I haven't seen what it can
do yet) that is about 10" long on my plant. Wayside has a nice photo of it
in their spring catalogue, and I found a book at the library (published in
1973) which included a description of it. I have never seen it for sale
anywhere but Wayside.
