Re: [SG] Animals and Hosta's


Hi Jennifer,

Zone 8 is just about the upper limit for hostas, I believe, (somebody tell
me this is wrong, please) but HOLES in the ground?  This is very strange!
Deer love hosta leaves, do you think a deer might have pulled the plant up
by the roots?  This might be possible if the plant was newly planted and
not had time to establish, but normally only the leaves would be missing.

I hope this was not the work of a "hosta snatcher"!  How long had the plant
been in its location?
