Re: [SG] Jack-in-the-Pulpit

While we are on the subject of Jack-in-the pulpits, I collected some seeds
in the fall two years ago from my plants that probably originally grew in
the woods in Iowa. My aunt didn't mind helping herself to nature's bounty.
I got mine from her. At any rate, I planted this seed in a flat of pure
leafmold compost in the fall and kept the flat in a coldframe during the
winter. Last spring, nothing happened. I took the flat outside in the
spring and watered it once in a while, but nothing happened until late
June. Then little Jacks started popping up all over that flat! Everything
has its own time of doing things.
