is there something a person can do to prevent this? In the past I have
bought "Polygonatum Ododratum "variegatum"", which was variegated but the

was told by a nurseryman that he had stopped selling it because too many
people complained it also reverted. Does this mean it will also happen to
mine? Does it have to do with the amount of sun/shade they receive, if so
what would be the ideal light conditions for these plants? Thanks!

I've never had any trouble with polygonatum ododratum 'Variegatum'
reverting though the margin gets quite narrow at times. I 've been trouble
told that to keep brunnera 'Variegated' stable that the original division
should be large and not to divide the plant at all until it gets quite
large. I've had both brunnera 'Variegated' and 'Hadspen Cream' for a number
of years now with no signs of reversion. Dappled shade seems to ideal
without fertilizing seems good in my garden.
