Much humbled, I am.   Chagrinned, I must admit I buy hostas by eye appeal,
form, color and try to never "shell out" $100.00.  Up here in the mountains we
buy  "en group" and split.  Our club also has a sitter program offering those
pricey plants.  You are, of course, intellectually correct, Clyde, but
pragmatism rules!
