Hmmmmmmm. Maybe TOO much shade. They bloom for me in open shade. I grow the
spinosum and the hungaricus. They will bloom in loci where hostas bloom.
Try this---fertilize with Osmocote. I'd think Tony d'Avent will be able to
give you a better answer, so I am ccing him.
