Re: [SG] Need help/ now Tricyrtis or ToadLilies

Hello Kimberly,
I do not have the T. 'Alba" either in my garden or the nursery. Do have
White Towers in the garden and personally like it better. Diana at
Collectors Nursery replied to you message as well as myself. I have not
checked her catalog lately on line, but perhaps she has it. They do have
nice plants and I order from them myself on occasion.
Can't answer for other nurseries, but all of the plants I ship are from
the display area. Same thing you purchase when you visit the nursery and
garden. Almost all come from #202 pots ("gallons") and are mature blooming
size plants. Prices range from $6 to $9 each. But, then, I do not have a
full color catalog and I do not unconditionally replace plants that die in
the garden over the next year. Often one is purchasing insurance as much as
the plants when ordering form White Flower or Wayside.
Other plants would help protect just a bit from frost, the side of a house
would retain much more heat to protect. however, a good heavy frost will
need a cover over them of some type. In my garden I do not protect things.
They are on their own. Too many plants to play that one.
