Hello Nancy,
Sorry I can not be there to see your garden with you. Much gets lost in
attempting descriptions through email. Why not take one of your two plants
and see how it does? Do protect it with a small tent of some type for the
first 10 days or so while it is adjusting to the new site. If it looks as
though it is in trouble, dig up the root ball and move it to a better
location.
Personally, I can not see how 2 hours of midday sun would stress this
plant once mature. Is it possible to erect a lattice work screen on the sun
side of you bed or something similar? Perhaps place a vine on the structure
to incorporate it into the arrangement.
Why not play a bit and see what happens if you are having some problems
with other plants before you set the Glacidium into the bed?
