Hi Kemberley--

You might try the website www.mountainmaples.com.  My friend Nancy Fiers
grows many varieties and knows all about them.  There was also an article
in the last or next to last issue of Fine Gardening magazine.  I just prune
mine lightly for shape.  They seem pretty airy on their own, but it may
just be my cultivars.
