Hi Bobbi,

Sweet potato vines want sun.  Mine are getting full sun and lots of
water.  They are more of a cascading plant than an actual vine.  You may
be able to train it upward, though.  I think you can probably root
cuttings, but I have never tried it.

There are two other varieties besides the 'Blackie' that you have.  One
is called 'Marguarita' and is a bright golden yellow.  The other is
called 'Pink Frost' (it may have another name, but can't remember it)
and is tri-colored...pink, green, and white...really pretty!
