We have had the same experience with this plant. We have tried it in
several locations from moderate shade to deep shade. Water is not a
problem nor is a mold or fungus. We have over 18 varieties of pulmonaria
and this is the only one that has ever done this. The Plants (9) are over
three years old and outside of this habit are very full and healthy.
We have kind of decided this is the way it is going to be.
