Kay,
I don't think it's too late...I haven't cut mine back yet and I'm south of
you, so season for my plants ought to be more advanced than yours. I
generally only cut back the ones right along my main path as they are the
ones that get on my nerves most if they get ratty looking and some are
about ready to get a haircut, what with the drought we've been having
around here....been a grand mildew season this year.
Try it on one and see what happens:-)
