Hi Donna,
When the clematis was on the north side of the house it got very little
direct sun...only early morning and late afternoon....none during mid
day. Now, on the east side of the house, it gets direct sun until about
noon, then shade the rest of the day. I guess I would call it light
shade...not deep.
